In Year 4, the children are introduced to sound, electricity and solids, liquids and gases. The children build on their knowledge of animals, living things and their habitats.

The children are grouping the animals according to their habitats.

The children visited Whipsnade Zoo, they were able to see a variety of different animals and hear from different experts that have worked closely with these animals.

Mother Nature Science visited Year 4 with their Dry Ice Workshop. The children learnt about the properties of gases through a variety of spectacular ‘Dry-Ice’ experiments, including:  tasting Dry Ice Cool bubbles, balloons and observing a popping rocket powered by gas.

The children have been learning about how water can change state.
