Attendance
This is a successful school and every pupil plays their part in making it so. We aim for an environment which enables and encourages all members of the community to reach their potential.
For our pupils to gain the greatest benefit from their education it is vital that they attend regularly. Every pupil should be at school, on time, every day that the school is open unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable. It is very important therefore that parents /carers make sure that their child attends regularly.
The Attendance policy sets out how parents /carers and the school will achieve this in partnership.

Is my child too ill for school?
It is usually appropriate for parents and carers to send their children to school with mild respiratory illnesses. This would include general cold symptoms: a minor cough, runny nose or sore throat. However, children should not be sent to school if they have a temperature of 38°C or above. Please read the NHS ‘Is my child too ill for school?’ guidance which has further information.
