Dinosaurs by Finley
Dinosaurs
They were on the land and in the ocean,
But were wiped out in one swift motion.
A falling meteor killed the dinosaur,
The dinosaurs’ existence hit the floor.
Many years before this tragic disaster,
Dinosaurs were growing so much faster.
The most thriving animal at the time,
Was the T-Rex, with skin the colour of lime.
Their little arms that could barely move around;
Their courageous roar was a deafening sound.
There was also the brilliant velociraptor,
Which, in my opinion, deserves its own chapter.
Despite their tiny size,
Their sharp teeth were the best prize.
Their tiny little legs were faster than you’d think,
But they couldn’t help them swim, as normally they’d sink.
They had all sorts of patterns and colours,
Each one was different from the others.
There was the Diplodocus, with its super long neck;
There was the Pterodactyl with a dangerous peck.
There was the Ankylosaur with its reckless swinging tail;
There was the Mosasaurus, bigger than a blue whale.
There was the Triceratops with a ring of spikes like a crown;
There was the Dilophosaurus who popped out a fan, to look like a clown.
The Spinosaurus was one of the most deadly creatures,
But the reason they were so deadly was because of two features:
The first feature was a camouflage all over their spine,
But the second reason is they had such a successful climb.
They were the only dinosaur to have this perk;
They were able to go in and out of water, meaning they would always lurk.
This is about when the meteor came,
Which is the main reason they have so much fame.
That sums up that dinosaurs are amazing;
Dinosaurs’ spirits are still blazing.
Dinosaurs are some of the most interesting creatures ever,
We shouldn’t ever forget them, never.
