Enabling our older pupils to become a Buddy is one of the ways we encourage our children to be involved in the life of our school, learn to be civic-minded and ready to contribute to society as they get older.

At Fairfields we are very proud of our buddy system. The system gives our younger children a sense that someone is always there who will look after them and our older children a sense of pride, responsibility, belonging and contributes to them developing a well-rounded character.

Our Buddy team are a visible presence each day around the school and we have a friendship stop in our playground which we encourage our Buddy team to supervise. Our Buddies look after younger children who may feel like they need support during playtimes and ensure everybody feels happy and safe.

Fairfields Buddies are positive role models who exemplify how to behave and act towards each other.
